SOLUTION
Cleaning, anti-corrosive coating and sealing of Tihange Unit 2.
Several activities were carried out while the unit was temporarily shut down, including the mechanical flushing of the pipes using high-pressure pumps and metal bodies. The inner surfaces of Box 3 were coated with a Phencote HR60WB resin to protect them from corrosion. Specific application procedures were followed and thickness checks were carried out to ensure the results were in line with the technical specifications.
