ANTI-CORROSION PROTECTIVE COATING FOR PIPE INLETS AND TUBE PLATES OF A CONDENSER

MATERIAL

Pipes in CU-NI 90/10 and CU-NI 70/30.

PROBLEM

Deterioration of pipes and plates due to corrosive and abrasive phenomena.

SOLUTION

Application of Phencote HR-60 TL resin coating, which offers protection against erosive, corrosive and abrasive phenomena caused by the coolant.
The coating application process involves sandblasting the surfaces, applying a layer of Phencote HR-60 primer and a thick layer Phencote 2000 resin. Intermediate checks were carried out while the coating was being applied to check on its thickness and the absence of discontinuities or imperfections.
The coating exceeded the required technical specifications, presenting a final thickness of approximately 200 microns.
